Software Design
The company provides software design for I&C systems and SCADA systems. In projects for which ZPA Industry provides complete project design, we take advantage of CAD packages (Eplan, See, ELCAD) to import KKS code, name and address of variables into software blocks.
Complete project design includes application software design for PLC as well as for HMI. The software packages used to create software vary according to the type of PLC used and the type of requested HMI interface. For creation of HMI software, the company preferably uses General Electric Inteligent Platform‘s Cimplicity products. The engineers at the company have worked with this product family for the last ten years, from Unix versions up to the latest Cimplicity Machine Edition® version. Regular trainings at GE Inteligent Platform’s European headquarters ensures up-to-date knowledge of the software, which is essential, given todays short software design cycles. We also provide application software design with Invensys‘s InTouch HMI software, and with Siemen’s WinCC HMI software.
ZPA Industry has development packages for all major control systems that it’s integrating. This includes development systems for General Electric, Siemens, Yokogawa, Metso Automation and Delta V from Emerson. The company has successfully implemented control systems from number of manufacturers like ABB, Invensys, Allen Bradley or Schneider Electric.
During design process we use standartized control blocks, ranging from ventils and servomotors to parameterized control loops. Although not evident, there is extensive know-how behind these standartized blocks as some of the control loops design have evolved for more than thirty years. Besides providing a consistent level of quality, this approach also provides a lower cost solution, as standartized blocks are faster to design and safer to implement.
