Project description

The company provided as a main subcontractor total reconstruction of electrical system and control system for 12 dieselgenerator stations (DGS) that operate in safety mode as power supply backups in category II. Control system provides control of DGS in all operational modes on nuclear power station Dukovany. ZPA Industry integrated control system and visualisation systems using GE Fanuc products. For control and visualization was implemented SCADA system based on Cimplicity HMI Plant Edition software from GE Fanuc. As a control system ZPA Industry chose distributed DCS control system based on GE Fanuc Series 90-30 units. Design of entire control system for DGS in all possible operational modes has gone under thourough reliability examination. Control system includes two independent monitoring stations and twelve control systems (one for each DGS), that include three stations of fixed logic system 1A,1B, and 1C; six process stations 1Am, 1Bm, 2A, 2B, 3 and 4; one station for interfacing with backup failure signalization (SACO) and one operator's workstation. Each process station consists from processor module, communication modules and I/O modules.

Technology description

Nuclear power station Dukovany consists from 4 power generation units equipped with Russian reactors VVER440. First two power generation units are grouped to s.c. MPU1 (Main Power Unit no. 1). The others power generation units are grouped to MPU2. Current technology of MPU1 includes 6 pcs of DGS from Yugoslavian manufacturers, actually from JUGO TURBINA and RADE KONCAR. Current technology of MPU2 includes also 6 pcs of DGS but from Polish manufacturers, actually from ZGODA and DOLMEL. Another electrical equipment was from Yugoslavian, Polish or Russian production.

Dates of commissioning

Project was realized in several stages according to the power station maintenance period schedule, only 25 days per one DGS was allowed.

Since 2002 we provide the service working in which they are made other requests for adjustments to the control system in accordance with the modernization of technology.
