Project description
ZPA participated in the modernization of parts of the control system and coherent electrical systems on polystyren II production, including constructional and mechanical modifications. ZPA performed complete project design including the elaboration of the project documentation for realization, supplies, complete assembly, provision of accompanying technical documentation and training of operators and maintenance personnel. Furthermore ZPA performed the complete supply and works on electrical systems including equipment for the given part of production, HV parts, lighting, UPS and earthing. In the light of mechanical supplies and assembly, also supplies and assembly concerning the instrument installation were performed – valves, changes in piping for the installation of remote fixtures, installation of wells and take-offs.
Furthermore reconstruction of the control room and exchange of the airconditioning were performed.

Control system
Siemens Simatic S7-400 was installed as Control System. For process control and visualization software InTouch and InBatch were implemented on a Windows NT platform. In the light of the User Program Facilities graphical displays were worked out for control of the technological units, sequencial programs and recepts, regulating algorithems, alarm functions, historical functions and trends, statements and transfer of balance data to the company‘s network.
